David Andrews 7mm O Gauge GWR 52xx 2-8-0 No.5239 'Goliath'

Overview
  • Condition: A very well constructed highly detailed model but part-painted and named 'Goliath' as seen on the Paignton and Dartmouth Railway. 
  • Operational Status: Tested and is in working order in both directions. The model was tested using a 16v controller performed well, however the gearbox rocks on the axle slightly and causes and sound change in the gearbox (a slight binding). Pickups are the plunger type and only installed to the outer two driving wheel sets meaning it can stutter a little on curves. However, when there isn't a binding noise when the gearbox and motor sit in the right place it is a very quiet and smooth running model. We would suggest adding more pickups!
