Heljan 7mm O Gauge BR Green Class 45 D50 - DCC Sound (Mega Bass)

When this model arrived with us it contained a fairly small rectangular speaker that sounded OK, but didn't match the size and power of the Class 45.  However, this model has a relatively small and restrictive space for a speaker.  So we've made some upgrades by switching to a larger 40mm 10W speaker, custom designing and 3D printing a sealed enclosure to perfectly fit the available space, and incorporating an additional 40mm passive diaphragm to enhance the volume and bass.  We think it's made a big improvement to the quality of the sound from this model.

Overview

• Condition: Very good overall condition, however the model has had running numbers applied and there is some residue from the fluid used (see close-up photos).  Overall though, this is a lovely looking model.  Includes unused brass nameplates and emblems, plus additional detailing parts and original instructions.
• Operation: Test and runs very smoothly in both directions. Features directional headlights, independently switchable tail lights, cab lighting and operating roof fan.
• DCC Status: DCC Sound fitted (Zimo MX696S decoder), programmed to address 3.  This model has had its speaker upgraded to a 40mm, 8 Ohm, 10W speaker in a Footplate custom 3D-printed enclosure.  This has given the sound increased volume and added bass response for a fuller sound.  Headlights, cab lights, tail lights and roof fan are switchable from DCC function keys.
