Aristocraft G Gauge Set of 2 ART-22008C Alco FA-1 Diesel Units - DC and R/C Control, Boxed

Although made up of two identical models, this set has been configured as an 'A' and 'B' unit.  Both units are motorised and can be operated either by DC twin-rail track power, or by using the internal battery and radio control.
The 'A' unit has been fitted with an Electonize FR8T-SH radio control receiver and rechargeable battery.  By joining both units by the connecting plugs, and setting the switches appropriately (instructions included), the radio control can operate the motor in both units.
Overview
  • Condition: Very good overall condition, there are a few small marks on the roofs, the 'A' unit has been modified to accommodate an antenna at the front, and one connecting cable at the front of each unit is missing (see close-up photos).  Includes original paperwork.
  • Operation: Tested under DC rail power and both units run well in both directions.  Features working directional headlights.  The battery requires a power supply (not supplied) - we plugged in a 'Smart Supply' that regulates voltage and current and the battery did accept a charge.  However, the unit comes with no transmitter and so we were unable to test the radio control functions.  A suitable transmitter will be required.
