Darstaed Coarse Scale O Gauge Midland Railway 6 Wheel Clerestory Coach - Boxed

Overview
  • Condition: Very good overall condition, with tinplate construction, but the previous owner has made some modifications:
    • Carriage door handles have been modified with brass pins - there are some signs of the modification work around the base of each handle, and there is a thin scratch by one handle (see close-up photos).
    • The interior has been decorated, with coverings on the seats and figures added to compartments.
    • The interior lighting has been modified to take power from a 9V battery that fits in the gap between compartments.  The lights have been tested and are working, but the battery is not supplied with the model.  The model will need to be opened (by carefully bending the holding tabs underneath and lifting off the body) to fit a battery.
    • The rear coupling has been completely removed to facilitate a switch for the lighting to be installed (see close-up photo).
    • The hinged part of the coupling at the other end has come loose (included in the box, but will require a new pin to secure into place).
