Golden Age Models 7mm O Gauge 9 Car LNER Coronation Coach Set

Overview

Condition: This is a beautiful set of the special commemorative coaches that were originally in service in 1937 for the coronation of King George VI. Constructed with brass bodies, detailed interiors and actual metal trim strips. However, this set doesn't seem to have been entirely well looked after. On several coaches there are some missing letters or numbers (which had originally been attached as etched metal pieces) and there are a number of other cosmetic issues that should be noted:

Coach A:	Missing letters 'RO' and 'TION' from one side Quite deep scratches around the spot of the missing 'R' The rubber corridor connection is badly shredded and would need replacement or careful repair

Coach B:	One door is missing its handle and silver frame/surround Small scratch on both sides Mark/chip around the coach number Silver strip is loose at the non-shared bogie end

Coach C:	One side is missing the digit '7' from the coach number

Coach D:	One side is missing the letter 'T' Some light scratch marks around the coach number

Coach E:	One side is missing the letter 'A' Bodyside marks/scratches on both sides Two dark scratch marks at one end of the roof

Coach F:	Visible glue mark on one window One side is missing the letter 'E' from LNER

Coach G:	One side is missing the letters 'COR' Light scratches around the coach number Marks between the 'R' and 'O' on the other side to the missing letters

Coach H:	One side missing the letters 'N', 'T' and 'N' Small ship to the corner of the footstep beneath the 3rd Class passenger door Small mark on roof

Saloon Car:	Bodyside mark/paint chip One side is missing the letters 'CORON' The other side is missing the letters 'A' and 'I'

Please don't let this overshadow what are a lovely set of unusual and rare coaches. With some care and attention they should be able to be brought back to their best, and even without any work they still look impressive at a normal viewing distance because of their distinctive livery.
