Kit Built O Gauge Models

Discover pre-owned kit built O Gauge models at Footplate, including steam and diesel locomotives, coaches and rolling stock from a wide range of specialist manufacturers.

Kit built models form an important part of the O Gauge hobby, offering prototypes and variations that have often never been produced as ready-to-run models. Our collection regularly includes models constructed from brass, nickel silver and white metal kits, ranging from enthusiast-built examples to professionally constructed and painted locomotives.

Our stock can include models from well-known O Gauge kit manufacturers such as DJH, Gladiator, Connoisseur Models, Scorpio, JLTRT and others, with individual models varying considerably in age, specification and build quality.

Every pre-owned kit built model is individually assessed by Footplate, with its condition, operation and known features clearly described. Where the original kit manufacturer or builder can be identified, we'll include this information in the individual listing.

As with all of our pre-owned stock, availability changes constantly. Particular locomotives and prototypes may only appear occasionally, so check back regularly to discover the latest arrivals.

Have kit built O Gauge models to sell? Footplate buys individual locomotives through to complete O Gauge collections, including professionally built, kit built, brass and ready-to-run models throughout the UK.
